LLOYD R. ROBINSON, 85, of Meriden, Iowa passed away Thursday morning, April 12, 2012 at his home.

Graveside memorial services for Lloyd and his wife Lucille will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17th, at Meriden Cemetery in Meriden, Iowa. Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate. Military rites will be performed at the cemetery by L.A. Wescott Post 2253 V.F.W. It was Lloyd’s request to be cremated. There will be no visitation. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Lloyd was born on September 24, 1926 to Harry & Flossie (Parcel) Robinson at Quimby, Iowa. He attended school in Cherokee. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army. Lloyd was united in marriage to Lucille Korleski on June 13, 1949 at Luverne, Minnesota. He worked for Fredrickson Grain for 40 years until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, wintering in Texas and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille on October 6, 2011 three sisters and six brothers.

He is survived by his five children: Mary Theresa Proctor of Waxahachie, Texas; Gary & Kris Robinson of Meriden, Iowa; Marvin & Caryl Robinson of Cleghorn, Iowa; Mike Robinson of Hornick, Iowa; Rick & Cindy Robinson of Doraville, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother: Raymond Robinson of Renton, Washington; also many nieces and nephews.
