LAURINE L. LUNDELL

LAURINE LUNDELL, 82, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Friday afternoon, July 13, 2012 at Careage Hills in Cherokee, Iowa

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Rev. Magrey deVega will officiate. Burial will be in the Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home on Monday. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 15th, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home with the family present from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. On line condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Laurine was born November 14, 1929 on a farm south of Larrabee, Iowa to Fred and Lavinia (Zwick) Gould. She was adopted by George and Ethel Zwick. She grew up on a farm north of Aurelia, Iowa. She attended Aurelia grade school and graduated from Cherokee High School in 1948. She was married to Robert Lundell on September 17, 1948 at Cherokee, Iowa. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed watching Nascar and football.

She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth (Russell) Parks; Bernice ((Vic) Mercer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold (Pauline) Gould; Galen Gould; Cliff (Halcyon) Gould; Kenny (Joyce) Gould; brothers in-law Leo Kelly, Vernon Lundell and Harvey Stratton.

She is survived by three children: Mary Wascher and her husband Lowell of Warsaw, Missouri; Mark Lundell and his wife Ann of Cherokee, Iowa; Tom Lundell and his wife Corrine of Cherokee, Iowa; grandchildren: Travis (Amber) Wascher; Sara (Brandon) Lucas; Molly (Nate) Patterson; Christina (Eric) Ostovic; Eric (Kelly) Lundell; great grandchildren: Jaiden Wascher; Kai & Cord Lucas; Isabella & Isaac Ostovic; Mesa Patterson, Carson & Piper Lundell; one sister and one brother, Hazel Kelly of Cherokee, Iowa; Marvin (Frances) Gould of South Dakota; three sisters-in-law: Vivian Gould of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Waldene Lundell of Cherokee, Iowa and Genevieve Stratton of Cherokee, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.
