DALE ALLEN DALTON

DALE ALLEN DALTON, 53 of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Saturday morning, December 29, 2012 at Country Side Estates in Cherokee, Iowa following a short battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 5th, at 11 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Father Dan Guenther will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Dale was born April 9, 1959 at LeMars, Iowa to Edward and Collene (Bride) Dalton. He graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School with the Class of 1978. He worked for many companies throughout the years and in many different states. He enjoyed his work as a heavy equipment operator and his many miles he racked up as a truck driver. He had a great passion for all kinds of sports, no matter if he was participating in or just watching. He enjoyed collecting and shooting guns and was a great practical joker.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward, maternal and paternal grandparents, a son Dustin, two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his mother Collene Dalton of Washta, Iowa; three brothers: Donnie (Teresa) Dalton of Cherokee, Iowa; Doug (Tammie) Dalton of Cherokee, Iowa; Danny Dalton of Quimby, Iowa; one sister: Debie (Tyson) Stevenson of Quimby, Iowa; one daughter: Becky (John) LaFleur of Sioux City, Iowa; also many nieces and nephews.
