ALICE J.  HOEPPNER, 92, of rural Washta, Iowa passed away Thursday, morning, May 9, 2019, at her farm home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, at 2 p.m. at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Quimby, Iowa. Pastor David Doellinger will officiate. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery at Quimby, Iowa. There will be a family prayer service at 1:45 p.m. at the church on Tuesday. Visitation will be on Monday, May 20 ^th from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Alice was born on March 23, 1927 at to James and Ethel (Conn) Fee. She graduated from Quimby High School in 1945. She was married to Kenneth "Bud" Hoeppner on Janaury 21, 1951 at Quimby, Iowa. Alice was a farm wife and had operated a hair salon out of her home for several years.

Alice was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Quimby, Iowa, a member of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Cherokee County Cowbells. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on June 19, 2014, brothers Duane (Carol) Fee, Russell Fee, sister-in-lawMarlys Fee, brother-in-law James Warrender, sister-in-law Roma (Arlo) Beazley.

She is survived by a son Stephen Hoeppner and his wife Ann of Sioux City, Iowa; a daughter Twila Woolworth and her husband Dave of Washta, Iowa; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren: Katie Hoeppner; Dustin (Deanna) Woolworth and their children Marley and Logan; Calvin Langschwager and Dakota Woolworth; a sister Ethel Warrender of Cicero, Indiana; brother Keith (Bu) Fee of Cherokee, Iowa; sister-in-law Carol Fee of Coeur D Alene, Idaho; also several nieces and nephews.
