Obituary

ANN  M.  COBURN, 73, of rural Marcus, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at St. Luke's Unity Point Health in Sioux City, Iowa.

It was Ann's wish to be cremated with private family services to be held. The Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with the arrangements.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com .

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Ann's name to the family for a memorial fund to be established.

Ann was born on July 3, 1949 to Lewis and Darlene (Lindstrom) Rae at LeMars, Iowa.  She graduated from Marcus High School in 1967 and attended Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls.

Ann was united in marriage to Bradley Coburn on August 30, 1969 at Grace United Methodist Church in Marcus, Iowa.  She worked at Farmer's State Bank in Marcus, then worked as a jailer for the Cherokee County Law Enforcement Center for a few years.  She also worked at Heartland Care Center, and for Mid-Step Services in Cherokee.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Marcus. Ann was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and baking, completing Sudoku puzzles, spending time with family and attending grandchildren's activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Darlene Rae.

Ann is survived by her husband, Brad of Marcus, Iowa; children Heather (Tim) Shea of Moville, Iowa, Heidi Coburn of Van Meter, Iowa, Holly (Russell) Beazley of Johnston, Iowa and Heath (Jennifer) Coburn of Sioux City, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Tyler Mathis, Ashley (Christopher) Grieder, Drew Beazley, McKenna Beazley, Faythe Evans, Aiden Short, Ava Coburn and Sofia Coburn; two great grandchildren, Amelia Ann Grieder and Luca Grieder; one sister, Lynn (Rocky) Fontana of Cokato, Minnesota and one brother, Michael (Loni) Rae of Gilbert, Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
