Anna Belle McKenzie, 85, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed way Tuesday morning, February 28, 2017 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 4th, at 3 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Rev. Cris Decious will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Cemetery at Larrabee, Iowa. There will be a family prayer service at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Visitation will be on Friday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the church.

Anna Belle was born on October 24, 1931 at Larrabee, Iowa to Harry C. & Blanche (Pixler) Smith. She graduated from Larrabee High School. She was married to Gerald R. McKenzie on August 14, 1959 at South Sioux City, Nebraska. Over the years she had worked for Ryden Cleaners, Daylight Donuts, Hilltop Nursing Home and Countryside Estates. Anna Belle enjoyed playing bingo and watching her children and grandchildren in their activities. Spending time with family was important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald on July 5, 1994, brothers Oscar, Bert, Forrest, Ralph and Earl Smith; sisters Pearl Dwyer, Eleanor Kintigh, Bonnie McCannon and June Raper; a great grandson Michael Wayne McLaughlin.
She is survived by her children: Linda (Bob) McLaughlin of Akron, Iowa; Ron Guthridge of Montezuma, Iowa; Melissa (Randy) Wilkie of Larrabee, Iowa; Herman (Mary) McKenzie of Garland, Texas; Jerri (Kevin) Harvey of Columbia, Missouri; Jeff (Tia) McKenzie of Aurelia, Iowa; Molly (David) Toney of Collins, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
