ANNETTE L. BRAY, 69, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, January 14,2026 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with a time of sharing beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home (Greenwood-Schubert Chapel) located at 216 S. 2nd Street in Cherokee, Iowa.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Annette was born on February 7, 1956, to Floyd and Margaret (Kohn) Courtright at Cherokee, Iowa.  She attended and graduated from Willow High School in 1974.  She worked as a day care provider, worked for Casey's and worked as a CNA and in housekeeping for Pomeroy Care Center and Pocahontas Manor until her retirement. She was united in marriage to Joseph Bray on June 2, 1990 at Twin Lakes, Iowa.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Courtright, husband Joseph Bray, and brother Mark Courtright.

Annette is survived by her two children, Kelly and Amber Grossenbacher of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Patrick and Stephanie Woolley of Palmer, Iowa; mother Margaret "Midge" Courtright of Storm Lake, Iowa; grandson Brayden Cundiff of Pomeroy, Iowa; siblings, Stan Courtright of Waupaca, Wisconsin, Joe (Nancy) Courtright of Hinton, Iowa, Mary Jo Mattheis of Bellevue, Nebraska, Jim (Barb) Courtright of Burnsville, Minnesota and Holly Williams of Cherokee, Iowa; sister-in-law Debbie Courtright of Cherokee, Iowa; also many nieces and nephews.
