BARBARA E. SANGWIN, 78, of Cherokee, Iowa, formerly of Cleghorn, and Fort Dodge, Iowa, passed away Wednesday morning, August 13, 2014 in the Countryside Estates.

Visitation and a time of sharing memories with family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 17th from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. It was Barbara's wish to be cremated. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Barbara was born on February 18, 1936 at Sioux City, Iowa to Audrey H. & Mary (Roest) Crotts. She was married to Kenneth Marsh Sr. and later divorced. She then married Dale Sangwin and was later divorced.

She had worked for the Globe Union Co. in Fort Dodge, Iowa until their closing. She then moved to Cherokee and worked for the Cherokee Mental Health Institute until her retirement in 1998. She had been a resident of Cherokee and Cleghorn the past 45 years. Barbara enjoyed baking, crocheting, fishing, and especially liked spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Fred and Melvin Crotts.

She is survived by her three children: Kenneth W. Marsh Jr. and his wife Karen of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Catherine "Cathy" Huff of Cherokee, Iowa; Cathleen Kammerer of Cherokee, Iowa: 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a special niece Jean Babb and her husband Joel of Fort Dodge, Iowa; 2 sisters: Merry Jo Dencklau of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Sally Couture of Miami, Arizona.
