C.A. "Tessie" RYAN, 81, of Tyler, Texas and formerly of Sioux City, Iowa and originally from Cherokee, Iowa passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Tyler, Texas.

She was born on February 17, 1934 at Cherokee, Iowa to Arthur & Agnes (Broderson) Reed. She graduated from Cherokee Wilson High School in 1952. Tessie was married to Mike J. Ryan on September 2, 1955 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee. She had lived in Cherokee for many years and had also lived in Sioux City and Ames, Iowa, and Tyler, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mike J. Ryan on February 21, 2012, a daughter Rene Pyle in 1987, a sister Tootie Heath and a brother Arthur Reed Jr.

She is survived by her three daughters: Aimee Rupp and her husband Steve of Cherokee, Iowa; Gigi Boothby and her husband David of Cherokee, Iowa; Ida Ryan and her partner Lisa Beeson of Tyler, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren: Ann (Cory) Wolterman and and their children Emma and Caleb; Aleicia Rapp and her children Madison and Noah; Angela (Willis) Carver and their children Colten, Greysen and Easten; Jennifer (Mike) Nixon and their children Cooper, Anna and Zoey; Michael Boothby, Matthew Boothby, Gabe Pyle and Luke Pyle; also several nieces and nephews.
