Obituary

CAROL S. CLARK, 62, of Battle Creek, Iowa, passed away Tuesday evening, June 15, 2010, in the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19th, at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek, Iowa. Rev. Kevin J. Freese will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 9:45 a.m. at the Church on Saturday. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Carol was born on November 1, 1947 at Battle Creek, Iowa to Reuben and Doris (Johnson) Smith. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1965. She was married to Gerald E. Clark on April 15, 1967 at Storm Lake, Iowa. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek, Iowa She enjoyed needlework, camping, gardening, crocheting, sewing and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald, and two sons: Jay Alan Clark and his wife Sabrina of Onawa, Iowa; Gerald David Clark and his fiance Karen Kelley of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two grandchildren Katie and Josh Clark; one sister Janice Hall and her husband Larry of Belton, Missouri; special nieces Shawna Milner of Chesapeake, Virginia; Emily Sigler of Overland Park, Kansas; special cousins Karen and Gary Sawin and their children Jana and Aaron.
