CAROLINE C. JENSEN, 84 , of Cherokee, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Cherokee Specialty Care.

It was Caroline's wish to be cremated.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. There will be no visitation.  Pastor Jonathan Riggert will officiate. Caroline was born on June 1, 1937 to Melvin and Mabel (Sargent) Cosier at Cherokee, Iowa.  She attended Cherokee Schools, graduating in 1955.   She graduated with a geriatric aide certificate from Western Iowa Tech in 1983.  She worked as an aide at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute and then as a Laundry Aide at Country Side Estates nursing home for over 20 years until her retirement.

She was affiliated with the Trinity Lutheran Church. Caroline enjoyed volunteering for the Ladies of the American Legion and V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary.

Caroline was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  She loved listening to Elvis Presley, completing puzzles and word searches, going gambling, pink squirrels and attending carnivals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mabel Cosier; an infant sister, Peggy, sister Cora Westphalen, brother Bennie Soules, and long time companion Jim Ulrich.

Caroline is survived by her three children, Dennis (Lynn) Salzkorn of Salix, Iowa, Deb (Craig) Campbell of Des Moines, Iowa, and David Jensen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; special friend Hilda; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
