Catherine (Cathy) Ann Huff , 65, of Cherokee, Iowa, went to be with The Lord on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Sioux City, Iowa following a lengthy illness.
A brief celebration of life service will be held at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa at 11a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Pastor David Hall will officiate. Following the service everyone is invited to Kee Stirs (Cherokee V.F.W.) for a luncheon and time of fellowship. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com
Cathy was born to Kenneth and Barb Marsh in Iowa City on June 20, 1956. She married Tom Huff of Cherokee, Iowa in 1978. The couple later divorced. Cathy worked various jobs in the Cherokee area, some of which include: Shamrock Bar, Happy Chef, Carey's Cafe, Jesse's Fine Meats, and Jobie's Pastime Lounge.
Cathy was a friend to all. She had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back. Cathy's two children, Tracy Huff and Jessica Rodne, were her world. Many of their friends referred to Cathy as "Momma Huff" as she loved them all. Cathy loved taking her grandkids shopping and spoiling them.
Cathy is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Marsh, her mother, Barb Sangwin, brother, Kenny Marsh, paternal grandparents William and Effie Marsh, maternal grandparents Joe Crotts and Mary Gorman and her late husband and friend, Tom Huff.
Cathy will be lovingly remembered by her very special friend, Ben Jobe, son Tracy (Jennifer) Huff and their children, Treton, Addison, and Jordan, daughter Jessica Rodne (fiancé Zac Wilde) and children Ella, Aiden, Karsen, and Lincoln, her twin sister Cathleen Kammerer and her children Jason Peters and Ashley Kammerer; sister-in-law Karen Marsh and her children Jill Gunderson and Nicholas Marsh, along with other cousins. Also remembering Cathy are all the very dear friends she has made throughout the years.
