CATHY RENEE  ROBINSON , 57, of Calumet, Iowa, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Wednesday morning, July 24, 2019 in the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 27 ^th , at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Kenneth Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Meriden Cemetery at Meriden, Iowa. Visitation will be on Friday, July 26 ^th from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Cathy was born on August 6, 1961 at Cherokee, Iowa Rodney and Florence (Haburn) Klave. She graduated from Cherokee Washington High School in 1979. She was married to Gregg Foresman for a few years. She was later married to Bill Robinson on May 1, 1992 in Cherokee, Iowa. She attended Western Iowa Tech and graduated with a Nursing Degree in 1992. She continued her nursing education through the University of Iowa and obtained her Master's Degree from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. She became an A.R.N.P. three years ago. Over the years she had worked at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center, Buena Vista Regional Hospital in Storm Lake, Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge, South Dakota Human Services Center in Yankton, South Dakota, C.C.U.S.O. in Cherokee and was currently working for Mercy One in Sioux City.

Cathy enjoyed shopping, traveling, fishing, golfing, finding new places for her and Bill to eat, precious time spent with her grandchildren; not many people can say they liked to work, but Cathy thrived on it. She had lived in Calumet since 2001 and prior to this had been a resident of Cherokee.

She was preceded in death by her father Rodney Klave, step-fathers Elmer Hoeppner and Harold Phelan, brother-in-law Dick Robinson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Madonna Robinson.

She is survived by her husband Bill of Calumet, Iowa; her children: Justin (Robin) Foresman of Cherokee, Iowa and their children Rylee, Cooper, Harrison, Kennadie, and Cassady; Seth Foresman of Kokomo, Indiana and his children Dylan, Colby, and Cole; Marty Robinson of Calumet, Iowa; Mindy Johnson (Rick) of Primghar, Iowa and their children Payton and Lennie; one great grandson Koy; her dog Biscotti; her mother Florence Phelan of Cherokee, Iowa; her siblings: Denise Horton (Mark) of Cherokee, Iowa; Cindy Sargent of Cherokee, Iowa; Tracy Hoeppner (Katy) of Cherokee, Iowa; Jean French (Danny) of Sioux City, Iowa; Cody Phelan of Cherokee, Iowa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary Robinson of Meriden, Iowa; Chuck Robinson (Rita) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Vicki Fassler (Kenny) of Meriden, Iowa; Linda Blitsch-Noonan (Les) of Lennox, South Dakota; many nieces, nephews and friends.
