CHARLES D. "CHUCK" MANN, 74 , of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Mercy One Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Private family services will be held. On Saturday, January 7 ^th , a 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home. Pastor Mie Agnew will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Aurelia, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Charles D. Mann, son of Mary and John Mann was born in Cherokee, Iowa, on December 30, 1948. He graduated from Washington High School, then from Iowa Lakes Community College with an Auto Body Mechanics degree. He worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation for just a few months short of 40 years.

He had two sons, Keith and Chris in his marriage to Judy Henke. He later married Gwen Garvin, who helped him raise the boys.

Chuck was a loving grandfather to grandson, Bradee Mann. He was a swimmer, an avid reader of western and adventure books, and enjoyed card games with family and friends. Chuck liked to zip around the sidewalks of Cherokee on his four-wheel scooter. his enjoyment of Oreo cookies could be found daily at his home.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Mann Minkler; son Keith (wife Erin and her daughter Delaney): son Chris; grandson Bradee; brother Brian Mann; aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
