Cindy was born June 17, 1970 at Winnebago, Minnesota to Leroy & Karen (Sorenson) Langford. She grew up in and around Mankato, Minnesota. She attended Mankato East High School  in Mankato, Minnesota and later obtained her GED from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 2011.  She received her Associate Degree of Arts and Science from Western Iowa Tech in 2017. She was working on her 2 nd degree and had to quit college when she got sick in 2017. She had also lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for 10 years and had been a resident of rural Cleghorn, Iowa since 2004.

Cindy was married to Ed Alcorn on September 5, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. She had worked as a CNA for over 20 years, caring for elderly patients. She was the resident's favorite caregiver and always put her patients' needs first. With her gentle, loving and caring ways she always managed to put a smile on the faces of all that were lucky enough to know her.

Cindy enjoyed reading, watching movies, animals, especially her dog Stella, and spending time with her husband and family. She loved animals and the ones lucky enough to be in her loving care were "spoiled rotten."

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Percy and Dorothy Langford, Elvin and Violet Sorenson all from Minnesota, and many other beloved family members.

She is survived by her husband Ed of Cleghorn, Iowa; her mother Karen (Raymond) Ward of Mankato, Minnesota; her father: Leroy (Ruthanne) Langford of Blue Earth, Minnesota; two sons: Dustin Youngvorst of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Samuel Williams of Piedmont, South Dakota; step-son Glenn Voth of Chariton, Iowa; her brother: Jesse (Teresa) Smith and their daughter Macey of Mankato, Minnesota; her sister: Shelly (Todd) Lutteke and their daughters Whitney and Brooke and their son Travis and his wife Rachel and two daughters of Wells, Minnesota; step-brother: Richard Smith Jr. of Mankato, Minnesota; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
