CORALYN JUNE  WALTERS , 78, of Quimby, Iowa, passed away Thursday evening, March 26, 2020 at Careage Hills in Cherokee, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 26th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Quimby United Methodist Church. Pastor Barb Dinelli will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, September 25th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Coralyn was born on November 30, 1941 at Walthill, Nebraska to William & Marie Catharine (Mercurio) Mumm. She was married to Donald Walters on February 28, 1959 at Pierson, Iowa. While her husband was in the U.S. Navy the couple moved around the country, living in many states. When Don got out of the military, they settled in Cherokee and owned and operated Don's Upholstery together. Coralyn would do most of the estimates and a lot of the sewing. She also did interior decorating. They had resided in rural Quimby, Iowa the past 19 years and prior to that in Cherokee for 20 years.

Coralyn enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, craftwork, and traveling. She was affiliated with the Quimby United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Donald Walters Jr., two brothers Duane and LeRoy Mumm, and one sister Loretta Davis.

She is survived by her husband Don of 61 years; two daughters: Mary Alice (Gary) Brooks of Marcus, Iowa; Sherry (Dan) Robb of Rapid City, South Dakota; 5 grandchildren: Jessie (Joe) Peterson of Meriden, Iowa; Daniel Brooks of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Casey (Tara) Brooks of Westbrook, Maine; Christy (Cameron) Kranig of Rapid City, South Dakota; Ann (Chris) Heath of Rapid City, South Dakota; 3 great grandchildren: Logan Peterson, Whitney Peterson, and Evelyn Brooks; one brother Leon (Susan) Mumm of Tracy, Minnesota
