DALE  F.  HARVEY , 89, of rural Quimby, Iowa, passed away Monday morning, February 7, 2022 at the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.

Graveside memorial services will held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Quimby Cemetery . Pastor Mike Agnew will officiate.  Military rites will be performed at the graveside by L.A. Wescott Post #2253 of the V.F.W. and the Cherokee American Legion. A luncheon will be held at the Quimby Community Center following the service. Dale was born on July 24, 1932 to Floyd and Gladys (Freeman) Harvey at Pierson, Iowa. He graduated from Quimby High School in 1950.  He enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War and earned the rank of Corporal.  Dale returned home and started farming. He had also worked at Wilson Foods in Cherokee starting in 1965 and worked there until his retirement.

Dale enjoyed making homemade ice cream with the assistance of his tractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Don Harvey in 1990; two sisters, JoAnn Smith in 2017 and Joyce Jenkins in 2019.

Dale is survived by his nieces and nephews.
