DAVID B. WHITE, 80, of Sutherland, Iowa, formerly of Spencer, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Aspire of Sutherland Nursing Home.

It was David's wish to be cremated.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  The Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

David was born on February 15, 1945 to Bruce and Ella (Hollander) White in Sheldon, Iowa.  He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1963.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force.  After his military service he lived in California, where he worked as a security guard until returning to Iowa in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin brother, Donald, and sister Shirley Sohn.

David is survived by his nieces and nephews, Rick (Mindy) Sohn of Primghar, Iowa, Randy (Michelle) Sohn of Primghar, Iowa, Rory (Cheryl) Sohn  of Dixon, Illinois, Ryan (Jenni) Sohn of LeMars, Iowa, Jeanne (Denny) Redel of Sioux City, Iowa, Shelly (Rich) Schiffli of Tucson, Arizona, and Jodi (Steve) Bacon of Johnston, Iowa; also several nieces and nephews.
