Obituary

DEAN DWIGHT ROLLISON, 83, of Lisbon, Iowa, formerly of Webster City and originally from Cherokee County, Iowa passed away Sunday morning, January 1, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on July 23, 1928 at Cherokee, Iowa to Linton & Ruth (Stevenson) Rollison. He graduated from Cherokee Wilson High School and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, graduating with Bachelor's Degree in Eduaction (History). Dean served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was married to Marion Peeckenschneider in December of 1954 until 1993. He was a school teacher for several years and had been a foundry worker. He was affiliated with the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and was a member of the V.F.W.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Neal Rollison, and one sister Rhoda.

He is survived by his four children: Elizabeth Fritz of Arizona; David Rollison (Emily) of Des Moines, Iowa; Dan Rollison (Lisa) of Cherokee, Iowa; Paul Rollison of Missouri; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; close friends Linda & Shane Stahlberg & family of Lisbon, Iowa.

Graveside memorial services will be held at the Quimby Cemetery at a later date. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com
