DEANNA V. "Annie" HOEPPNER, 79 , of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Saturday July 1, 2023 at Cherokee Specialty Care.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Father Dan Rupp will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Annie was born on January 24, 1944 to William L. and Rosella (Reinert) Boothby Cherokee, Iowa. She attended Quimby Schools.
She was united in marriage on November 11, 1983 to Elmer Hoeppner at Cherokee, Iowa.
She worked for Ryden's Cleaners, 4-Leaf Clover, and the Cherokee Mental Health Institute until her retirement in 1991.
Annie was a member of the Catholic Church.
In her free time, she enjoyed the Home Shopping Club, playing Bingo, spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, an infant son Ernest Rickers, daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bill Robinson, brother, William "Bill" Boothby Jr., brothers-in-law, Terry Rupp, Harvey Allen, David Gryp, and Tom Smith.
Annie is survived by her children, Denise (Mark ) Horton of Cherokee, Iowa, Cindy Sargent, and Tracy (Caty) Hoeppner of Cherokee, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Horton, Tony (Laura) Horton, Melissa (Keith) Crane, Justin Foresman, Seth Foresman, Kyle Rinehart, Brady Freeburg, Brooklyn Hoeppner, Braxten Hoeppner, and Braylund Hoeppner; 19 great grandchildren; sisters LaRae Rupp of Cherokee, Iowa, Rose Allen of Cherokee, Iowa, Joan Gryp of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Betty (Jack) Hill of Sutherland, Iowa, Kris Robinson of Meriden, Iowa, and Kayla Smith of Victor, Iowa; also many nieces and nephews.
