DENNIS E. SCHNABEL, 63, of Cherokee, Iowa and formerly of Moville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016 at his residence in the Autumn Park Apartments.

Visitation and time of sharing memories with the family will be on Monday, November 28th, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Dennis' remains were cremated. Dennis was born on May 31, 1953 at Sioux City, Iowa to Rueben & Alice Schnabel. He attended school in Moville, Iowa. He was married to Renee Baker. Dennis enjoyed playing pool and loved spending time with his dog Bobbi. He had been a resident of Cherokee the past 5 years, prior to this in Panama City, Florida and was originally from Moville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his children: Destiny Cloud of Meriden, Iowa; Dennis E. Schnabel Jr. of Sioux City, Iowa; Chad Luisenbrink of Iowa; three grandchildren: Hailey Bomar and Hayden Bomar of Cherokee, Iowa; Elizabeth Paltz of Newell, Iowa; two brothers-in-law: Robert and Roger Baker of Moville, Iowa; a very close friend Larry Joines of Cherokee, Iowa.
