DIANE J. NOLL, 85, of Royal, Iowa, formerly of Linn Grove, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at her home in Royal, Iowa.
A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer, Iowa at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 with Fr. Kevin Richter presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. The Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements. Diane was born on May 11, 1940 to Joe and Mary (Benesh) Brinkmann in Estherville, Iowa. She graduated from Estherville High School and went on to Buena Vista College to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
She was united in marriage on February 4, 1961 to Keith Noll. She worked as a school teacher at Sioux Valley Community Schools for 36 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux Rapids, Iowa and later Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer, Iowa.
Diane was a loving mother. She enjoyed her horses and longhorn cattle on the farm. She enjoyed teaching multiple generations of students over the years. She was very artistic with a variety of mediums, especially painting and jewelry making. She was adventurous and happy to travel whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Mary Brinkmann, husband Keith Noll, and her brother Jerome Brinkmann.
She is survived by her two children, Kenneth and Kristin Noll of Royal, Iowa and Kathy Noll of Carver, Minnesota; three grandchildren, William Noll, Jordyn Meyeraan, and Clayton Noll; four great grandchildren; siblings Joanne Torpy of Loveland, Colorado, Bernie and Dave Kennedy of Coralville, Iowa and Denny and Margie Brinkmann of Minnesota; also several nieces and nephews.
