DONNA R. BROWN, 70, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Monday afternoon, November 21, 2016 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26th, at 11 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Mark Leeds will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Donna was born on April 9, 1946 at Alta, Iowa to Robert & Berdena (Blum) Hase. She grew up in the Schaller area and graduated from Schaller High School in 1964. She was married to Eugene Brown Jr. in June of 1991. She was a member of the Heritage Bible Church in Cherokee and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Donna enjoyed making blankets, watching quilting and cooking shows, and Wheel of Fortune on the television. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan. She had been a resident of Cherokee for several years and the last 3 ½ years she lived in Careage Hills.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She is survived by her husband Eugene of Cherokee, Iowa; her step children: Gary (Linda) Brown of Mount Vernon, Illinois; Jack Brown of Louisiana; Chet Brown of Larrabee, Iowa and his daughter Tiffani Brown of Cherokee, Iowa; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; her sister and brother: Jan Bradley of Lincoln, Nebraska; John (Sheryl) Hase of Alta, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; her extended family: Sue Driesen and her children Amber Wright and Beege Wright of Cherokee, Iowa;
