Obituary

DONNA FAY MORROW, 82, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Larrabee, Iowa.

Donna was born June 11, 1927 at Boaz, Wisconsin to Fay and Helen (Reed) Morton. She attended Cherokee Schools. She was married to Frankie Morrow on January 22, 1946 at Dakota City, Nebraska.
She had worked in various nursing homes and at K-Products, retiring in 1984. Following the couple's retirement, she and Frankie babysat for many families and enjoyed the children. She had lived in Larrabee, Cherokee for many years and also in Centerville, South Dakota She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds and squirrels, camping, crocheting, loved to go to Martin's Access and visiting with people and family. Donna loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren and she always said she had a very caring and loving family. She would also let you know what she thought and her motto was "If you think it, you just as well say it."

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1998, a daughter Linda Poll in 2009, son Ike Morrow in 2010, son-in-law Bill Strahmann in 1998, brothers Fred Townsend and his wife Arlene, LeRoy Morton and his wife Wilma, Jim Morton, Bob Morton, Norman Morton, a sister Velda Watkins and her husband Alvin.

She is survived by her family; a son-in-law Don Poll of Centerville, South Dakota; son Frank Morrow Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Cherokee, Iowa; daughter-in-law Deb Morrow of Larrabee, Iowa; daughter Cindy Strahmann of Larrabee, Iowa; daughter Bonnie Lambert of Augusta, Georgia; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a sister Mary Lou Meller of Solon Springs, Wisconsin; sister-in-law Shirley Morton of Boise, Idaho; sister-in-law Betty Morton of Onawa, Iowa; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy & DeWayne Houser of Mitchell, South Dakota; brother and sister-in-law Dwight "Oley" & Rose Morrow of Herman, Nebraska; also many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 12th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. On line condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com
