DONNA D. STIEF, 90, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Accura Healthcare of Cherokee.

Funeral services to honor Donna will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee, Iowa.  Pastor Jonathan Riggert will officiate.  Burial will be in Cherokee Memory Gardens.  Visitation with the family present will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee. Donna was born on March 29, 1934 at Linn Grove, Iowa to Charles and Lora (Boise) Dilocker.  She graduated from Cherokee Wilson High School in 1952.

Donna was united in marriage to Maynard C. Stief on January 25, 1953 at Cherokee, Iowa.  She was a farm wife, raising her five children, and also worked as a retail clerk for several Cherokee businesses over the years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee, Iowa.  She was active in the Ladies Aide and TOPS Club.

Donna loved spending time with her family, watching FOX News, crocheting, embroidery, completing word find puzzles, cooking, and baking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Maynard on October 1, 2006, daughter Machelle Stickler in 2023, brothers Earle, Delwood, Caroll, Gerald, Eldon, Byron, B.C. "Bud" Dilocker, and sister Wanda Hibbing.

Donna will lovingly be remembered by her children, Michael (Tonya) Stief of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Maynard "Pat" (Debra) Stief of Traer, Iowa, Mark (Kathy) Stief of Larrabee, Iowa, and Marlin (Amy) Stief of Cherokee, Iowa; son-in-law Rick Stickler of LaPorte City, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren; brother Dennis (Sharon) Dilocker of Cherokee, Iowa; brothers-in-law Mahlon Stief of Cherokee, Iowa and Arnold Hibbing of Minnesota; sister-in-law Joan Ballantyne of Cherokee, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.
