DOROTHY J. ELLIOTT , 91 of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

Dorothy was born on July 14, 1929 to John and Esther (Benson) Christensen at Matlock, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Cherokee Schools in 1949. She was married to Joe Elliott on September 10, 1950 at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed playing 500 with her husband and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son Donald Elliott.

She is survived by her children Dennis (Kim) Elliott of Franklin, North Carolina, David (Colleen) Elliott of Cherokee, Iowa, Bonnie (Gary) Fields of Trophy Club, Texas, sister Arlene Christensen of Cherokee, Iowa, five grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) Farquharson, Stephanie (Steve) Olsen, Sarah (Trevor) Rankow, Amelia (Dustin) West, and Allison (Steve) Hall, nine great grandchildren Kate and Taylor Farquharson, Savanah and Soren Olsen, Collins Rankow, Hannah and Charlotte Hall, Colt and Tucker West.
