DUSTIN C. TODD, 36, of Washta, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Careage Hills Nursing Home in Cherokee, Iowa, after a short battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Dustin's Life will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Dustin was born on June 6, 1986 to Charles and Sue (Zollman) Todd at Cherokee, Iowa.  He graduated from River Valley Schools.

We were blessed to have Dustin at home with us for 36 years and although his earthly life was short, his memory will remain.  He touched so many hearts while here, our lives are forever changed.  God returned him once to earth and then took him away, but we wouldn't change one single thing and still thank God for everyday with Dustin.  He taught us unconditional love and though we hurt inside, we know we'll be together again on the other side. So rest easy now our child, for you are no longer in pain, and we will see you in a short while when we meet at Heaven's door.

Dustin is survived by his parents, Charlie and Sue Todd of Washta, Iowa; sisters, Molly Todd and her son, Landon Todd of Washta, Iowa, Britney Todd and Mark Schleef and their children, Kimber and Dakota Schleef of Cherokee, Iowa; grandfather, Melvin Zollman of Cherokee, Iowa; uncles and aunts, Scott (Sheila) Zollman of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Bill Zollman of Washta, Iowa, Amy (Brad) Amick of Cherokee, Iowa, Debbie (Brett) Schillinger of Baldwin,Wisconsin, Vicki (Todd) Rubendall of Sac City, Iowa, Barb (Doug) Radke of Aurelia, Iowa, Deb (Bob) Templeman of Mayer, Minnesota, Mike (Sharon) Todd of Marcus, Iowa, Lisa (Trip) Witten of Ida Grove, Iowa, Mark (Becky) Todd of Washta, Iowa; several cousins and many friends.

Dustin is also survived by all his "Favorite" people, they know who they are.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Delores Todd; maternal grandmother, Alta Zollman; nephew, Dylan Schleef; uncle, John Todd; special neighbors, Gary and Nancy Crouch.  What a joyous reunion Dustin will have in Heaven with them!
