EDNA V. QUIGLEY, 100, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Sunset Knoll Retirement Home in Aurelia, Iowa.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 14th, at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee. Rev. Ethan Sayler will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Friday at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. On line condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com
Edna was born November 29, 1912 at Hickory Creek, Grundy County, Missouri to Charlie and Della (Mason) Cyphers. She attended schools in Missouri. She was married to Harry Quigley on November 2, 1931 at Trenton, Missouri. Edna had worked as a psychiatric aide at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry on September 2, 1987, a son James, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three nephews and one niece: Eddie Kincaid of St. Joseph, Missouri; Wayne Kincaid of North Kansas City, Missouri; Peggy Kincaid of Trenton, Missouri; Robert Quigley of Ottumwa, Iowa.
