GAYLE  ANN  GORE , 61, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2014 at her residence in Autumn Park.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 7 ^th , at 2 p.m. at the Meriden Evangelical Free Church in Meriden, Iowa. Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate. It was Gayle's wish to be cremated. Gayle was born on July 9, 1952 at Missouri Valley, Iowa to Donald & Norma (Jeffers) Christensen. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School. Gayle was married to Kenneth D. Gore in 1979 at Ida Grove, Iowa. She had been a resident of Cherokee since 1991 and before this had lived in Missouri Valley for many years.  Gayle enjoyed playing bingo, cards, dice games, spending time on the computer, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her children: Christina Bateman and friend Greg Schubert of Cherokee, Iowa; Stella Gore and friend Jim McClain of Cherokee, Iowa; Shirley Gore of Cherokee, Iowa;  Jeff Gore and friend Angela Blain of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Bob Gore of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Sissy Beam and her husband Dennis of Clarinda, Iowa; Missy Gore of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; her siblings Michael Christensen of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Connie Schultz and her husband Lyle of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Audrey Brewster and friend Clyde Robbins of Modale, Iowa; Kent Christensen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; her best friend Alma Leonard of Cherokee, Iowa.
