GEORGE G. GARVIN, 84, of Meriden, Iowa, passed away at his residence in Meriden, Iowa on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

There will be no services at this time.  There will be a celebration of life later in the Spring.  The Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com .

George was born on December 6, 1938 to Vincent and Luella (Grauer) Garvin.  He worked for Wilson Foods, then later Continental Deli for 35 years.  He also drove semi-truck for Deer Valley Mechanical during his retirement.

He was a board member at the Little Sioux Wildlife Association.

George loved Case tractors, antique tractor pulls, riding his Harley - Davidson motorcycle and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kelly Garvin, sister, Phyllis Henke, three brothers, Dick Garvin, Lee Garvin, and infant Charles Garvin,

George is survived by his three children, JoAnn Garvin-Baker of Post Falls, Idaho Jerri (Steve) Corken of Cherokee, Iowa, and Ed (Lauri) Garvin of Cherokee, Iowa; stepson, Nick Clark of Cherokee, Iowa; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Joe (Tristan) Buzynski and their children,  Ashton and Zoe Buzynski, Rachel Corken (Michael Boyd) and their daughter, Payton Boyd, and Jesica Garvin (Kyle Zugel) and their son, Weston Zugel; sisters, Ruth Vander Haag and Mary Brady; also several nieces and nephews.
