GOLDIE FOWLER ROBINSON, 93, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1st at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Brad Ketcham will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Aurelia, Iowa. Visitation will be on Monday, July 31st from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m .until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Goldie was born on March 25, 1930 at Battle Creek, Iowa to Rudolph and Emma (Reincke) Pedersen. She attended Battle Creek Country School. When Goldie was a teenager her family moved to Galva, Iowa where she lived for many years, until moving to Cherokee in 1990. She was married to Everett Fowler Sr. in 1957. Goldie was later married to Russell Robinson on November 1, 2004 in Cherokee, Iowa.
Goldie had worked in home healthcare and was a nurse's aide at various nursing homes. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, baking, playing bingo, reading and studying her Bible daily.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, three sisters Irma Barry, Mildred Edsen, and Virginia Schlinz.
She is survived by her children: Tom (Judy) Fowler of Kansas City, Missouri; Ray (Jen) Fowler of Greenville, South Carolina; Everett (Lisa) Fowler of Aurelia, Iowa; Step-son: Garry Fowler of Kansas City, Kansas; five grandchildren: Shanna (Joe) Lambing, Thomas "T.J" Fowler, Anthony (Irena) Fowler, Alex (Allison) Fowler, Katie Fowler; seven great grandchildren.
