INEZ M.  FREEMAN , 80, of Spencer, Iowa, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2019 in the St. Luke Lutheran Home at Spencer, Iowa.

Visitation and time of sharing memories with the family will be held on Saturday, March 30 ^th from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Inez was born on August 8, 1938 at Anthon, Iowa to Elmer & Marie (Engelke) Meyer. She graduated from Anthon-Oto High School in 1957. She was married to Jack Freeman in 1959.

She had worked in the food industry most of her life; managing the Cherokee Country Club, working at LeGrande Hacienda, Danny's Steak House, and in the cafeteria at Tyson Foods for Liberty Food Service until her retirement.

Inez had been member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed reading, gardening, loved to cook, and especially spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, a son Kevin, and two brothers Elmer and Wilbur Meyer.

She is survived by her three children: Jackie (Jim) Albright; Jeff Freeman of Cherokee, Iowa; Darin (Eve) Freeman of Spencer, Iowa; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
