JACK J. REED, 64, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Friday morning, November 12, 2010 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.
Jack was born on December 11, 1945 at Bakersfield, California to Donald "Jim" and Alice (Wallace) Reed. He graduated from Cherokee Washington High School. He had worked as a cook in the McDonald's Restaurants in Des Moines for several years. He had also worked at the Gasthaus and The Brownstone in Cherokee.
He was preceded in death by his parents
He is survived by two brothers: Byron Reed and his wife Christine of Queens Creek, Arizona; Ben Reed and his wife Jo Ann of Spirit Lake, Iowa; 4 nieces and nephews: Michael Reed and his wife Angela of Rogers, Minnesota; Elizabeth Eden and her husband Matt of Queens Creek, Arizona; Lindie Hoaglund and her husband Chris of Ankeny, Iowa; Andrew Reed and his wife Susan of Humboldt, Iowa; 9 great nieces and nephews and two uncles: Darrell Reed of Norkolk, Nebraska and Beryl Reed of Cherokee, Iowa.
