JANET KAY STILLEY, 65, of Milford, Iowa and former longtime Cherokee, Iowa resident, passed away Sunday morning, June 26, 2016 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer

Janet was born March 4, 1951 in Cherokee, Iowa to Maynard and Berneata (Mangles) Zoch. She attended Cherokee Schools and graduated from Washington High School in 1969. She attended St. Luke's School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa for 3 years, graduating in 1972. Janet was married to Gary Stilley on August 23, 1975 in Cherokee, Iowa. She had worked at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute as an R.N. for 34 years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble and going on fishing trips to South Dakota. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 2002, father-in-law & mother-in-law Dean & Marie Stilley, brother-in-law Mark Walter.

She is survived by her husband Gary of Milford Iowa; her father Maynard Zoch of Cherokee, Iowa; one sister Jane (Mike) Berg of Oskaloosa, Iowa; sisters-in-law Mary (Doug) Langerman of Williamsburg, Iowa; Robin Villalpando of Madison, Wisconsin; Linda Stilley and Mark Derifield of Madison, Wisconsin, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
