JAY C. FORESMAN, 53, of rural Cleghorn, Iowa passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, June 26th, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa with the family present from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Jay was born May 10, 1958 in Cherokee, Iowa to Jack and Lillian (Jorgensen) Foresman. He graduated from Meriden-Cleghorn High School in the Class of 1976. He attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs for two years and received a degree in mechanics. He had lived in Rock Township, Cherokee County all his life. He had farmed and worked at various other jobs. He was quick to lend a helping hand to help a friend in need. His passion was Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed his time spent with his two nephews and one niece. He was a member of the former Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a brother Greg Foresman in 1994.
He is survived by his parents Jack and Lil Foresman of Cleghorn, Iowa; a brother Lee Foresman and his wife Gina of Cleghorn, Iowa; two nephews Nathan Foresman and his wife Larie; Chad Foresman; his niece Kayla Foresman.
