Obituary

JEANETTE E.  (LUDWIG)  WILSON , 87, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Saturday evening, June 23, 2018 in the Cherokee Specialty Care.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29 th , at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Aurelia, Iowa. Pastor Bruce Rapp will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Aurelia, Iowa. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the church on Friday. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Jeanette was born September 17, 1930 at Cherokee, Iowa to Herbert & Sylvia (Samp) Sangwin. She graduated from Aurelia, High School in 1948 and then attended Commercial Extension Business School in Omaha, Nebraska. She was married to Chris Ludwig on January 16, 1954 at Dakota City, Nebraska. Chris passed away on May 3, 1982. She was later married to Stewart G. Wilson on May 20, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away on April 30, 2009.

Jeanette had worked for Farmers Produce in Cherokee and for the Cherokee Mental Health Institute from 1965 and until retiring on January 14, 1993. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Aurelia, Wa Tan Ye Club and TTT Chapter EZ. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing Bingo, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, son Dean in 1970, two brothers and sisters-in-law Dale and Colleen Sangwin, Keith and Barb Sangwin brother-in-law and sister-in- law Danny Ludwig, Geneva Buser.

She is survived by her children: Howard (Doris) Ludwig of Crowley, Texas; Timothy (Brenda) Ludwig of Larrabee, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; 3 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law: Gary (Connie) Ludwig of Kissimmee, Florida; Myron Ludwig (Valnita) of Nampa, Idaho; Cindy (Pete) Peterson of Nampa, Idaho; Nancy Pack of Beresford, South Dakota; Wray Buser of Sloan, Iowa; Marce Ludwig of Nampa, Idaho; also many nieces and nephews.
