JEFFREY  P.  FISCHER, 49, of  Cherokee, Iowa, formerly of Marcus, Iowa passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate.  Burial of the cremains will be made in Cedar Cemetery in rural Larrabee, Iowa.  Visitation with the family present  will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning.  Services will be livestreamed on our website with the assistance of Fuller Digital Solutions. Jeffrey was born on December 31, 1971 to Paul and Ann (Montgomery) Fischer at Cherokee, Iowa. He attended Marcus Schools, graduating in 1990.  He enlisted in the Iowa National Guard in 1989, serving until 1995 as a PFC.  He worked as a construction worker for Rohlins Construction, Tristate Construction and Old Castle Construction.  He had also worked for Wells Blue Bunny.  He retired in 2018.

He attended the Meriden Evangelical Free Church.

Jeff enjoyed motorcycles, video games, classic movies from the 30's, 40's, and 50's.  He liked to read Sci-Fi Thriller Books.

He is preceded in death by his father Paul Fischer, grandparents Robert and Anna Fischer and Clarence and Winnifred Montgomery; brother-in-law Mark Determann; a niece and a nephew.

Survivors include his mother Ann Fischer of Byron, Minnesota; brothers: John (Kathy) Fischer of Treynor, Iowa, Jerry (Ruth) Fischer of Byron, Minnesota, and James Fischer of Del Rio, Texas; sisters: Joyce Determann of Byron, Minnesota and Judy (Larry) Strawther of Leander, Texas; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; honorary pallbearers Gene Fischer, Jon Schmitz, Kevin McClure, Jason Brown, Ryan (Shorty) Paulson and Eric Knudson.
