Obituary

Jennifer Ann Elaine Davis Zeimen, 30, of Bailey, Colorado, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026, in a beautiful Hospice facility in Denver, surrounded by her husband and parents, after a brave 10-year battle with Low-grade Serous Ovarian Cancer.

Jennifer was born on March 4, 1996 in Sioux City, Iowa, she was the daughter of Randy and Laurie Davis. Jennifer graduated from Washington High School in 2014. She was a football and basketball cheerleader, played tennis, was in the Spanish club and Spanish Honor Society, Jets, and was on Tomahawk Court. She was also in the National Honor Society. She danced with Deborah’s School of dance from the age of three through high school graduation. She went on to attend Cornell College majoring in premed. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2018 and earned a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Philosophy, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Starting in 2021, she attended Northwestern College. She completed her course work and was pinned and got her white coat and was in her clinical phase of the Physician Assistant Program when her illness required her to return to Colorado to restart more aggressive treatment.

While her professional life was shortened by her illness, she was very proud of her educational accomplishments and was eager to contribute to the medical field. She spent her spring breaks volunteering with the elderly during her time at Cornell. She did spend time working as a phlebotomist while she and Luke lived in Mitchell, SD. She was very passionate in her support of research and participated in clinical trials for cancer, specifically STAAR Low-grade Serous Ovarian Cancer. She also was a fierce advocate of cancer awareness, especially ovarian cancer.

Jennifer married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Luke Zeimen, on October 13, 2018. Together they shared eight beautiful years of marriage and built a wonderful life. She and Luke loved their two black cats, Iris and Yati. She will be fondly remembered for her contagious sense of humor, grace, intelligence, love of the elderly, bubbly personality, kind eyes, bravery, courage, optimism, and for never giving up in her fight against cancer. In her free time, Jennifer loved to crochet, do puzzles, play computer and Nintendo Switch games with Luke, and get her nails done with her mom. She was artistic and even painted watercolor flowers for their wedding invitations. She was able to complete a couple bucket list items including visiting Harry Potter world at Disney in Florida and California. She loved zoos and was able to go to the San Diego zoo. She recently took a brief with Luke and her parents to Las Vegas. Jen and Luke were also able to attend the STAAR Conference in Texas in support of research of ovarian cancer.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Luke; her parents, Randy and Laurie; her inlaws Mike and Lori. She is also survived by her siblings Justin, and Jason (Kaysie); her brother-in-law, Tyler; nephew, Silas, and niece, Blair.
