JIMMY DALE SCHMIDT, 72, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Tuesday morning, January 20, 2015 in the Cherokee Villa Nursing & Rehab Center.
Jimmy was born on May 17, 1942 at Iowa City, Iowa to John & Crystal (Cosier) Schmidt. He had been a resident of the Cherokee area all his life. He had worked for Sanitary Services in Cherokee for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John Schmidt, two sisters Mary Jane Schmidt and Lucille Kyle.
He is survived by one sister: Rosemary Heath and her husband Roger of Correctionville, Iowa; a half-sister Marjorie Jepson of Correctionville, Iowa; also several nieces and nephews.
Graveside memorial services for JIMMY DALE SCHMIDT, 72, of Cherokee, Iowa who passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Cherokee Villa Nursing & Rehab Center will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th, at the Meriden Cemetery. Rev. Magrey deVega will officiate. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa is in charge of the arrangements.
