Jo Anne Marie Thompson, 64, of LeMars and former Cherokee resident, Iowa passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at The Abbey of LeMars.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 2nd, at 10 a.m. at The Abbey of LeMars.
It was Jo Anne's request to be cremated. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery along with her husband's Bruce's remains. There will be no visitation. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee is handling the arrangements. On line condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com
Jo Anne was born March 12, 1947 at Marshalltown, Iowa to Everett and Marjorie (Williamson) Cook. She attended Green Mountain Independent High School and graduated in 1965. She continued her education and received a degree to be a Nurse's Aide. She was married to Bruce Thompson on April 19, 1983 in Cherokee, Iowa. She had worked at K-Products in Marcus, Iowa. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bruce on October 8, 2008.
