JOAN K.  PERCEY , 75, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Thursday afternoon, August 16, 2018 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

Visitation and a time of sharing memories with the family will be held on Tuesday evening August 28 ^th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. It was Joan's wish to be cremated. There will be no burial. Online condolences can be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Joan was born June 17, 1943 at Fowlerville, Michigan. In 1975, she was married to Howard Percey in Weatherly, Pennsylvania. Joan had worked for K-Products in Orange City and Marcus, Iowa. She was also an excellent waitress, working at the Happy Chef and Family Table in Cherokee, retiring in 2005. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Primghar, Iowa.

Joan enjoyed sewing, reading, crossword puzzles, sudoku, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Tom & Doris Fleshman and a brother Bill Fleshman.

She is survived by her daughter: Tammy McDaniels of Cherokee, Iowa; grandson: Jeff McDaniels of Cherokee, Iowa; a great grandson: Bodhi McDaniels and his mother Shelly Bennett; step-children: Buck Percey, Wayne Percey, and Chris Percey Keener; also several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; two sisters: Harriett (Ted) Ethridge of Boise, Idaho; Cora Kerstulovich of Boise, Idaho; also several nieces and nephews.
