Obituary

JOHN R. "JOHNNY" BEAZLEY JR., 44 of Aurelia, Iowa passed away Sunday morning, January 25, 2015 in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28th at 10:30 a.m. at the Aurelia First United Methodist Church. Rev. Tom and Nelva Petersen will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset View Cemetery at Washta, Iowa. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and a prayer service to be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Johnny was born on March 28, 1970 to John R. "Jack"Sr. & Mary (Busch) Beazley. He graduated from Willow Community Schools in 1988. He was married to Joyce Bredthauer on February 26, 2001 at Lincoln, Nebraska. He had worked in the Meat Packing Industry in Storm Lake for 25 years. Johnny thoroughly enjoyed his co-workers. He had lived in Aurelia for the past 15 years and prior to this in Quimby for several years. He was a member of the Aurelia First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting toy tractors, practical jokes, gun shows and he loved the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife and two children: Joyce, Nicholas Allen and Haley Jo Beazley; his parents: John R. "Jack" Sr. & Mary Beazley; his in-laws: Allan and Dorthy Bredthauer; his sisters and brothers: Lisa (Kris) Alesch, Kelley (Tom) Mongan, Michael (Jennifer) Beazley, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Kay and Steve Alston; also several nieces and nephews.
