JORDAN L. SPEELMON, 29, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Harmony House in Waterloo, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Father Dan Rupp will officiate.  Visitation with the family present will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon prior to the service.  There will be no burial.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to them for a future project in Jordan's honor.

Jordan was born on August 6, 1996 at Storm Lake, Iowa to Rani Speelmon and John Harms.  He attended Cherokee Schools and graduated from Ankeny High School in 2015.  He worked at the Cherokee County Work Activity Center.

In his free time he enjoyed drawing, painting, watching football, shopping, going to the movies, and playing his Nintendo Switch.

He was preceded in death by his grandma Nancy Speelmon, step grandma Kathy Ryan, and step grandpa James Preuss.

Jordan will be lovingly remembered and missed by his mom and stepdad Rani Speelmon  and Terry Preuss of Cherokee, Iowa; dad John Harms of Storm Lake, Iowa; grandpa Danny Speelmon of Cherokee, Iowa; step grandma Sharon Preuss of Quimby, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
