Obituary

JOYCE P. WEBER, 88, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Saturday morning, November 2, 2013 at the Countryside Estates in Cherokee, Iowa.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 8th at 10:30 a.m. at the Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. There will be a prayer service for family and friends along with a time of sharing memories at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Joyce was born on December 31, 1924 on a farm near Plainview, Nebraska to Fred & Katherine (Henery) Senseney. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1942. She was married to Charles Weber on February 14, 1952 at Sioux City, Iowa. She had worked for Mildred Moorhead at Cherokee Draperies for several years and had also been a homemaker health aide. Joyce had been a resident of Cherokee since 1963 and prior to this in Holstein for
7 years and before that in Sioux City for a few years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Clayton, a sister Lorraine and a grandson Craig Verrone

She is survived by her husband Charles Weber of Cherokee; four sons: Ralph (Sandy) Verrone of Grand Junction, Colorado; Kenneth (Trish) Verrone of Ankeny, Iowa; Steve (Karen) Weber of Newark, Delaware; Larry Weber of Cherokee, Iowa; 12 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren; one sister Margie of Omaha, Nebraska.
