Obituary

JULIE A. WRIGHT, 78, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Friday evening, April 29, 2016 in Countryside Estates following a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Rev. Eric Wright will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Julie was born on May 29, 1937 at Cherokee, Iowa to Eulas & Gertrude (Morrill) Quinn. She graduated from Cherokee Washington High School in 1955. She attended the University of Dubuque and Buena Vista College in Storm Lake for a total of two years. She was married to Adrian E. Wright on January 2, 1958. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, was very proud of the family she raised and she loved art. In her earlier years she was involved with the Order of Rainbow for girls and in later years, she worked several part time jobs around the community. Julie was a lifelong resident of Cherokee. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Adrian and three children: Dr. Gary (Carmela) Wright of Venice, Florida; Jon (Tracy) Wright of Walker, Minnesota; Beth (Bill) Hardman of Edmonds, Washington; four grandchildren: Dillon & Jake Wright, Roan & Gillian Hardman; one brother Dennis Quinn of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
