KATHY JO STINES , 63, of rural Cleghorn, Iowa passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 4 ^th , at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Jonathan Riggert will officiate.  Burial of the cremains will be in the Cherokee Memory Gardens.  Public visitation with the family present will be Friday, December 3rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Kathy was born on June 3, 1958 at Cherokee, Iowa to Robert and Norma (Noah) Mahnke.  She graduated from Cherokee Schools in 1976.  She worked at the Cherokee MHI as an aide and then as a nurses aide when they moved to Arizona.  She worked at a semi-conductor plant in Arizona and more recently at the Pizza Ranch in Marcus and the Driftwood in Correctionville until retiring in 2014.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

She loved camping, taking care of her cats, and spending time with her family.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Robert Mahnke, son, Scott Stines in 2021, sister Julie Mahnke Stines, mother-in-law and father-in-law Arlene and Lloyd Stines.

She is survived by her husband, Rick of Cleghorn, Iowa, four children, Nick Stines of Meriden, Iowa, Kayla Stines of Correctionville, Iowa, Rob Stines of Cherokee, Iowa and Kimberly Stines of Correctionville, Iowa; 10 grandchildren Isaac, Brayden, Juliauna, Journey,  Matthew, Brianna, Kathrine, Hannah, Charlotte, and Noah Stines; mother Norma Mahnke of Cherokee, Iowa; and brother Steve Mahnke of Cherokee, Iowa.
