KEITH C. "KC" SUND, 43 , of Cherokee, Iowa passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Cherokee Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.  Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate.  Public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 2:00- 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Keith was born on March 23, 1978 to Orville and Phyllis (Bays) Sund at Cooperstown, North Dakota.  He attended Finley-Sharon Schools, graduating in 1996.

He worked as a truck driver and equipment operator for Cronin Farms and most recently as a Safety Professional for M.A. Mortenson.

Keith married Melissa Rohel on July 8, 2018 at Cherokee, Iowa.

He loved fishing, hunting, playing with his guns, grilling and smoking meat for his family and spending time with his wife.

He is preceded in death by his father, Orville Sund in 2020.

Left to cherish Keith's memory are his wife, Melissa Rohel-Sund of Cherokee, Iowa, daughter Madyson Sund and her son Derald Hand of Cherokee, Iowa; fur baby Benji;  mother Phyllis Sund of Cherokee, Iowa; brothers Scott (Marsha) Sund of Quimby, Iowa and Richard (Heidi) Sund of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; mother-in-law and father-in-law Lorette and Albert "Ben" Davis of Moberly Lake, British Columbia, Canada.
