Kenneth L. Fuhrman, born on February 20, 1941 in Cleghorn, Iowa, passed away on April 4, 2025 surrounded by his family. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Ken devoted his life to service – to his country, his faith, and his community. He was a member of the Bettendorf Lions Club for decades and served as Treasurer for many years. He also served as Elder and Trustee over the years at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

On November 20, 1960, Ken married the love of his life, Nancy Fowler. They shared more than six decades together and built a life centered on love, faith, and family. Ken and Nancy shared a passion for travel, both as a couple and with their family. Together, they visited the Caribbean, Europe, New Zealand, several South Pacific islands, and nearly all 50 states – making lifelong memories with loved ones by their side.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; their four children: Deb (Sean) Smith, Michelle (Wade) Jepsen, Lisa Fuhrman, and Matt (Jennifer) Fuhrman; and his sister, Janet Radke. Ken was a proud grandfather to Alexis Davis, Arianna Jepsen, Brianna Jepsen-Trapp, Lauren Fuhrman, Collin Jepsen, and Alex Fuhrman and a loving great-grandfather to Henry and Charlotte Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Shirley Otto, and his brother Wayne Fuhrman.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Bettendorf Lions Club.
