KYLE J.  WOLTMAN , 56, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Sunday evening, May 5, 2019, unexpectedly at his residence.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 28 ^th at 11 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Burial of the cremains will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa. Kyle was born on February 14, 1963 at Cherokee, Iowa to Wayne and Eulalia (Miller) Woltman. Kyle grew up in Cherokee and graduated from Cherokee Washington High School in 1981. He attended Northwestern College in Orange City where he wrestled. He completed his college education at the University of South Dakota, graduating in 1986.

Kyle had been a resident of Cherokee the past 15 years, working at the HyVee Distribution Center; prior to this he had lived in Hudson Falls, New York for 15 years and had worked for the Ace Hardware Distribution Center for several years.

Kyle's greatest joy in life was his beautiful daughter Sophia He also loved to watch the Indianapolis Colts Football team, going to the casino, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling with his daughter. He was known as a great neighbor and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Eulalia Woltman, a brother Kevin Woltman, and an infant daughter Sylvia Jane.

He is survived by a daughter: Sophia Woltman of Hudson Falls, New York; brother Kirk (Krista) Woltman and their children Mitchell, Miles and Macntyre of Marion, Iowa; an uncle Gary Woltman of Okoboji, Iowa; also other relatives and friends.
