LANE BIRKY , 60, passed away on September 22, 2021 after a four year battle with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa.  Pastor Bradley Ketcham will officiate.  Following the service, the family would like to invite everyone to the Brightside Lounge for a time of fellowship.  Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com

Lane was born on April 19, 1961 to Elmer and Renata (Heller) Birky.

He loved God, his family, camping, whiskey, mountain bikes and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Erika Birky and his 5 children: AJ, Samuel, Bella, Alana and Michael; Mother, Renata Birky; sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Brian Martin.   He loved Cherokee deeply and often asked to "go home".
